The organization has 26 members,
as of 01 July 2002;
Borrowed Nature is an association managed by the following bodies: General
Assembly, Managing Board with President, Control Body, Executive Body
BN does not aspire to have a large number of members or a network of centres
round the country. It counts on the setting up of task-orientated groups
responsible for the implementation of specific projects. These working groups
include partners from other interested organizations, institutions or individuals.
Working groups are in existence until the completion of the project that
they are created for only. Upon termination of the project they dissolve
or restructure depending on the new challenges or possibilities for action.
This method of work allows efficient use of human resources at minimum organizational
and operational costs.
Since 2000 BN is a member of the European Environmental
Bureau

BN has always been a project based organization.
It implements a variety of projects at international, national and local
level in cooperation with partners found and selected among Bulgarian,
foreign and international NGOs, local authorities, representatives of national
institutions and journalists.BN frequently plays the role of “idea
incubator”. Its outcomes are later addressed for implementation to
other NGOs. In these cases BN provides advice to the implementing organizations
and/or guarantees before the donors.
