BN organizes and performs different campaigns on national and regional levels in an active partnership with national, foreign and international civil organizations, local authorities, state institutions and media.
Our campaigns are targeted at informing wider social groups about the ecological situation, initiating public discussions, provoking an interest to the state of environment and finding possible problem solutions.


1998-99

Threats to the Atmosphere - a campaign

NGOs and local authorities from 12 BG towns

the Swedish NGO Secretariat on Acid Rain

Providing information and raising public awareness to air pollution issues, caused by acid rains, global warming and depletion of the ozone layer through: a/ disseminating video and printed, b/ organising public discussions, c/ organising workshops for teachers and NGOs, d/ organising public discussions with the participation of national institutions, NGOs and journalists, e/ broadcasting video films through cable TVs.

1999

To Save the Ozone - a national campaign

NGOs/ local authorities from 20 BG towns, Mi-nistries of Environment and Education

GEF through the World Bank

Aiming popularization of the National Ozone-Depleting Substances Phase-out Programme and cultivating in citizens a new environmental culture. The campaign is carried out in close cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment and Waters, the Ministry of Education and Sciences, NGOs and local authorities from more than 35 Bulgarian towns, the National TV and Radio.

Enlarged Europe - a national campaign

NGOs, local authorities, Bulgarian National Radio, local media, teachers and children in 35 towns of Bulgaria

EU, through the Delegation of EU in Sofia, Bulgaria

Aiming at popularization of the environmental legislation of the European Union, especially in the fields of nature/biodiversity, soils/agriculture, water quality and air pollution, in cooperation with NGOs and local authorities of 35 Bulgarian towns, local media and the National Radio.
